Summertime Fun!

After a successful month of recitals, company showcases, and auditions, our dancers have finally made it to a well-deserved summer break! Our summer dance schedule will be filled with classes, solo/duet/trio practices, Cathy Roe Nationals and New York rehearsals, musical theatre camp performances, and much more. As we enter the coming months of sunshine and relaxation, we decided to share top reasons to keep dancing this summer. Summer training serves as a time to experiment with new dance styles. So often during the school year do dancers focus on the same dances, classes, and training, with little time left to try the styles of dance that differ from their daily routine. We always encourage our dancers to experience dance that puts them out of their comfort zone, and our summer courses offer a wide variety of opportunity to try something new. From silks classes and hip hop, to week long musical theatre camp, we challenge each of our dancers this summer to get out of their artistic comfort zone. Summer training brings a refreshing focus on personal growth to dancers. Our staff has committed themselves to teaching dancers with an emphasis on professional and technical values, whilst also offering personalized feedback. With smaller class sizes over the summer, each course brings new meaning to the phrase “personalized teaching”. Smaller classes allow our teachers to focus more on the individual dancer and their personal growth. With our eight-class punch card, students have the freedom to choose when they come to the studio, whilst still have the constant of dance training over the summer despite the varied schedules they can choose.
